I OPPOSE HB1214 which would transfer governance of our public libraries to municipalities. Our library should remain under the governance of Library Trustee how background and education is suited to this duty. Allowing municipalities (i.e., government) to take over the oversight of libraries is a 100% totalitarian move to try to censor what information is made available to the public. Stop this government overreach, stop this attempt at cloaked censorship, and leave our libraries alone!
